'India 272+' : An Android app launched by Narendra Modi

BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi launched an Android application called 'India272+', in order to achieve a magic figure of 272 in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

India 272+ logoThe Android application enables volunteers to participate in open forum and share thoughts, ideas for upcoming speeches by Mr Modi. He had already launched a website named www.india272.com for the same purpose in August 2013 and also mentioned the ideas of the volunteers which were sourced through the website of India272 during his political speeches in Hyderabad, Rewari and Uttarakhand. As the craze for smartphones has increased, Modi looks forward to receive more feedback through this Android app.

HomeChat : An app by LG to control home appliances

It is now possible to communicate with your LG compatible appliances with the help of LG's HomeChat. You can literally chat with your LG compatible appliances using natural-language commands. For instance, if you send the text message, "I'm going on vacation," the following should automatically happen: your fridge will go to power-save mode, your robot vaccum will default to a 9 a.m. daily cleaning cycle, and your washer will autoprogram to run a wash cycle the day before you get home.

Guardian - A safety app for Windows phone users in India by Microsoft

Microsoft India on Thursday, 26th December 2013 launched 'Guardian' a new safety app exclusive for Windows phone users in India.
Raj-Biryani, the managing director of Microsoft-IT India said that Guardian enables users to switch on a 'track me' feature in the app that lets friends and family track them in real time using Microsoft Windows Azure cloud services and Bing Map APIs.
